lentiform fibers

The term lentiform fibers refers to a narrow, vertically oriented group of nerve fibers at the boundary between the cerebral crus and the internal capsule at about the level of the mammillary body. They are not readily distinguished in sections stained for myelin ( Mai-1997 ).
