olfactory ventricle
The term olfactory ventricle refers to a cavity in the embryonic olfactory bulb that communicates with the lateral ventricle. It is usually absent in the adult human ( Crosby-1962 ), but present in the adult mouse ( Paxinos-2001 ) and rat ( Swanson-1998 ).
