lateral tegmental process

The term lateral tegmental process refers to one of three components of the tegmental reticular nucleus in the ventral pontine tegmentum where it meets the basal pons. It is found in the human ( Crosby-1962 ).The other components are the medial tegmental process and the supralemniscal process. Functionally the tegmental reticular nucleus belongs to the postcerebellar and precerebellar nuclei of the behavior control column ( Swanson-2004 ).
