lamina IVC (IVC)

The term lamina IVC refers to one of three subdivisions of the internal granular layer that are seen in the occipital lobe. Located in primary visual cortex and other species, it is a cellular sublayer that lies deep to two other subdivisions, lamina IVA and lamina IVB (the stria of Gennari) ( Schiebler-1999 ).
