The term orbitomeatal plane denotes a horizontal plane for brain stereotaxis based on cranial landmarks. It passes through the inferior margin of the orbits and the openings of the external auditory canals. Also known as the baseline of Reid, it lies10 millimeters ventral to the Horsley-Clarke zero plane ( Carpenter-1983, Winters-1969 ).
