anterior spino-olivary tract

The term anterior spino-olivary tract refers to a bundle of fibers that arise at all spinal levels, cross the midline, ascend contralaterally in the anterior white column of the spinal cord and terminate in the dorsal accessory nucleus of the inferior olive and the medial accessory nucleus of the inferior olive in the medulla ( Oscarsson-1977; Carpenter-1983 ). It consists of the anterior spino-olivary tract of the spinal cord and the anterior spino-olivary tract of the medulla.
