posterior midbody of the corpus callosum

The term posterior midbody of the corpus callosum refers to one of seven parts of the corpus callosum (Witelson). Referred to as 'Region 5', it represents the posterior half of the corpus callosum minus the isthmus of the corpus callosum and the splenium of the corpus callosum ( Witelson-1989 ).
