auditory region
The term
auditory region refers to a portion of the
superior temporal gyrus segmented on the basis of cytomyeloarchitecture in the rhesus
macaque. This region has two components, the
core of the auditory region and the
belt of the auditory region, which are subdivided into 14 areas (
Pandya-1973 ).
