dorsolateral area of stria terminalis

The term dorsolateral area of stria terminalis refers to a group of cells identified on the basis of cytoarchitecture in an early segmentation of anterior nuclei of stria terminalis in the rat. Subsequent connectional data led investigators to combine the dorsolateral, anteroventral, and anterodorsal areas of stria terminalis into the anteromedial area of stria terminalis ( Swanson-2004 ).

Also known as: dorsolateral area of stria terminalis, Bed nuclei of the stria terminalis anterior division dorsolateral nucleus
