area Id3 (Id3)

The term area Id3 refers to the most dorsal of three subdivisions of the dysgranular insula. Identified by multiple stains, it is found in the human ( Morel-2013 ) and the macaque ( Gallay-2012 ). The others are area Id1 and area Id2.
