accessory olfactory bulb


The term accessory olfactory bulb, or Bulbus olfactorius accessorius, refers to a part of the olfactory bulb that receives input from the vomeronasal organ via the vomeronasal nerve. It connects to the brain by the vomeronasal-terminal nerve complex. It has not been demonstrated in humans beyond the fetal stage of development.
