The term anteromedial region of motor thalamus refers to a substructure of the ventral nuclear group of the thalamus based on connectivity and function. It corresponds to the oral part of ventral lateral nucleus, which receives a projection primarily from the globus pallidus. It, the anterolateral region of motor thalamus and the posterior region of motor thalamus constitute the motor thalamus.
