area 14 (M)


The term area 14 (M) refers to a cytoarchitecturally defined subdivision of the frontal lobe of the macaque. It corresponds approximately to the gyrus rectus and may be homologous to a similar area in gyrus rectus of the human which would be a subdivision of the prefrontal area 11 (Brodmann).
