cerebral projection fibers


The term cerebral projection fibers, or Neurofibrae projectiones, refers to nerve fibers that connect various areas of the cerebral cortex with the diencephalon, the midbrain, the pons and the medulla oblongata. Major structures in which they are found include the cerebral white matter (including the internal capsule), the cerebral crus of the midbrain and the pyramidal tract.
