cerebral sulci

The term cerebral sulci, or Sulci cerebri, (singular: sulcus) refers to surface indentations of the cerebral cortex. While there are about an equal number of major sulci in the human and the macaque, their names and locations are somewhat different. In NeuroNames the names of sulci that are found only in the human are followed by (H); those found only in the macaque are followed by (M).
