corticohypothalamic fibers


The term corticohypothalamic fibers refers to axons originating in the cerebral cortex, primarily in the frontal lobe, the parietal lobe, the occipital lobe and the cingulate gyrus and projecting to the hypothalamus. They are not readily distinguished in myelin stained sections.
