The term periallocortex, or Periallocortex, denotes a subdivision of allocortex defined by phylogeny, ontogeny and cytoarchitecture. It includes the peripaleocortical claustral region, the presubiculum, the parasubicular area, the entorhinal area, the perirhinal area 35, the retrosplenial region, the periarchicortical cingulate areas and the peripaleocortical claustral region.
