The term periarchicortical cingulate areas, or Regio cingularis periarchicorticalis, refers to a group of structures defined on the basis of cytoarchitecture. It is a transition zone between archicortex and neocortex that is composed of the pregenual area 33 (H) and the subgenual area 25. |
