The term pontine gray, or Griseum pontis, refers to a composite substructure of the pons that includes the pontine nuclei of the basal part of pons and three groups of cells in the pontine tegmentum, namely, the medial tegmental process of Jacobsohn, the lateral tegmental process of Jacobsohn and the supralemniscal process of Olszewski and Baxter. |
