The term posterior descending limb of lateral sulcus (H), or Ramus posterior descendens fissurae lateralis (H), refers to one of two branches of the lateral sulcus at its caudal end in the human. Its appearance is variable; in about half of cases it is identical to the transverse temporal sulcus (H). The other branch is the posterior ascending limb of lateral sulcus (H). |
