retrosplenial region


The term retrosplenial region, or Regio retrosplenialis, refers to a cytoarchitecturally defined portion of the cerebral cortex. It is largely located in the isthmus of cingulate gyrus. It is composed of the ectosplenial area 26, the granular retrolimbic area 29 and the agranular retrolimbic area 30.
