The term stem of lateral sulcus, or stem of Sylvian fissure, refers to the rostral-most portion of the lateral sulcus where the frontal lobe and the temporal lobe come together and rostral to sites where other sulci, rami and limbs join the lateral sulcus. In the human these include the anterior horizontal limb of lateral sulcus (H), the anterior ascending limb of lateral sulcus (H) and the posterior limb of lateral sulcus. |
