The term tuberal region refers to a composite structure that represents an alternate mode of subdividing the hypothalamus. Including portions of the intermediate hypothalamic region and the posterior hypothalamic region, it consists primarily of the ventromedial nucleus of hypothalamus, the arcuate nucleus of hypothalamus, the dorsomedial nucleus of hypothalamus, and the posterior nucleus of hypothalamus. |
