vestibular cortex

The term vestibular cortex refers to a functionally defined region that is poorly defined in humans, but that appears to include parts of the superior temporal gyrus. In the macaque, the primary projection by vestibular afferents to the cerebral cortex is to the postcentral gyrus near the lower end of the intraparietal sulcus.
