The term vomeronasal nerve, or Nervus vomeronasalis, refers to the nerve that connects the vomeronasal organ to the accessory olfactory bulb in macrosmatic mammals. It is also part of the vomeronasal-terminal nerve complex, which connects the accessory olfactory bulb to the brain. It has not been demonstrated in the human beyond the eighth month of fetal life. |
