cervicothalamic tract

The term cervicothalamic tract refers to a group of fibers that originates from the lateral cervical nucleus in the first two cervical segments of the spinal cord. These fibers ascend lateral to the medial lemniscus and terminate in the ventral posterolateral nucleus of the thalamus ( Carpenter-1983; Hagg-2004 ).
