subthalamic fasciculus

The term subthalamic fasciculus refers to the portion of fibers in ansa lenticularis that contribute to the capsule of the subthalamic nucleus. It includes fibers that pass from the subthalamic nucleus through the internal capsule to the globus pallidus ( Carpenter-1983, Riley-1943 ).
