area p24b' (p24b')

The term area p24b' refers to the central part of the posterior midcingulate cortex located caudally in the anterior cingulate gyrus of the human and the macaque. Defined on the basis of internal structure, it is bounded ventrally by area p24a' and dorsally by area p24d ( Vogt-2012 ). In the rat and mouse area 24b' is not subdivided into anterior and posterior parts ( Vogt-2016 ).
