central part of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus
Acronym:
The term central part of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus refers to one of four parts of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus as demonstrated by Nissl stain in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Dong-2004 ). The other three are the anterior part of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus; the dorsal part of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus; and the posterior part of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus. Functionally the anterior hypothalamic nucleus is part of the behavior control column of the subcortical motor system ( Swanson-2004 ).
