retrohippocampal region
Acronym:
The term retrohippocampal region refers to one of two divisions of the hippocampal formation (functional) in the rat. It is a composite structure that includes the entorhinal area, presubiculum, postsubiculum, parasubiculum and subiculum. The other division is the hippocampal region ( Swanson-2004 ).
