The term ventral part of the lateral septal nucleus refers to one of three divisions of the lateral septal nucleus in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Dong-2004 ). The other two are the lateral septal nucleus, caudal part and the lateral septal nucleus, rostral part.
