The term anteroventral part of the medial amygdalar nucleus refers to one of five subdivisions of the medial amygdalar nucleus in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Dong-2004 ). The other four are the anterodorsal part of the medial amygdalar nucleus, the posterodorsal part of the medial amygdalar nucleus, the posteroventral part of the medial amygdalar nucleus and the nucleus of the accessory olfactory tract.
