The term lateroventral periaqueductal gray refers to one of eleven components of the motor periaqueductal gray. It represents the combination of the lateral periaqueductal gray and the ventrolateral periaqueductal gray in the classical segmentation of periaqueductal gray ( Carrive-2012 ).
