Acronym: p24'
The term area p24' refers to the part of area 24 located in the posterior midcingulate cortex in the human and the macaque. Defined on the basis of multiple criteria, it occupies approximately the posterior third of the anterior cingulate gyrus. In both human and macaque it consists of three parts: area p24a', area p24b', and area p24c' ( Vogt-2016 ).
