area v23b
Acronym: v23b
The term area v23b refers to the more caudal of two parts of area v23 in the human and the macaque. Defined on the basis of multiple criteria, it is located in the isthmus of the cingulate gyrus between area v23a and area v31. In the macaque it is located similarly, except that the macaque has no area v31 ( Vogt-2012 ).
