area 19 of Mauss

The term area 19 of Mauss refers to a cortical area that occupies predominantly the angular gyrus of the macaque and the guenon; it is defined on the basis of myeloarchitecture. Mauss regarded it as topologically homologous to the cytoarchitectonic area 19 of Brodmann (guenon) ( Mauss-1908 ).
