area 7a of Vogts
Acronym: 7a
The term area 7a of Vogts refers to one of two divisions of area 7 of Brodmann (guenon) based on myeloarchitecture and cytoarchitecture. The other is area 7b of Vogts. They differ in that area 7b has larger pyramidal cells in a wider layer III, a more distinct sublayer Va and a wider layer VI than area 7a ( Vogts-1919 ).
