superficial feature
The term superficial feature (spf) refers to: 1) a volumetric white matter (myelinated) tract, fasciculus, or nerve, which transmits information ithrough the nervous system (NS); 2) a point, line or surface feature of a volumetric structure, for example,a dimple (point), sulcus (line) or uncus (unc) (surface of a volume that includes parts of two lobes); or 3) a volumetric structure that is adjacent to, but not part of, the NS, such as a fluid-filled cistern (cis).
