Brodmann K
IV. Kapitel in Vergleichende Lokalisationslehre der Grosshirnrinde (Leipzig: Verlag von Johann Ambrosias Barth), 1909

Includes descriptions and figures showing cortical maps of many species, including human and nonhuman primates. Chapter 4 deals with the comparative study of cerebral cortical localization. German text, Latin nomenclature, diagrams of cortex divided into regions which are further subdivided on the basis of cytoarchitecture into divisions that are referred to by numbers as "Felder" (fields) and by words as "Areas;" photomicrographs of cytoarchitecture of the areas; narrative description of the location of each area in terms of sulci and gyri. See Brodmann-1905 for the species on which segmentation of the cerebral cortex of Cercopithecus (guenon) was based. This book appears in English translation by Garey (1999), titled Brodmann's 'Localisation in the Cerebral Cortex' and published by the Imperial College Press, London (Garey-1999).
