Includes descriptions and figures showing cortical maps of many species, including human and nonhuman primates. Chapter 4 deals with the comparative study of cerebral cortical localization. See Brodmann-1905 for the species on which segmentation of the cerebral cortex of Cercopithecus (guenon) was based. FOR READERS OF ENGLISH: Brodmann's book appears in English translation by Garey (1999), titled Brodmann's 'Localisation in the Cerebral Cortex' and published by the Imperial College Press, London ( Garey-1999 ).
