This publication presents summary maps of the functionally defined primary motor cortex (MI) and supplementary motor cortex (MII) of the rat and the macaque. The areas are defined on the basis of movements elicited by electrical stimulation of the cerebral cortex. Very detailed figures illustrate the loci of body movements elicited in Macaca mulatta and Macaca fascicularis.
